How to Protect Concrete Mixers from High Temperature

Many people get sunstroke in summer because of high temperature and scorching weather. Even people feel like that, not to mention mechanical equipment? Working unceasingly day after day under high temperature, even the best concrete mixer will break down. Confronted with such phenomenon, operators should reduce temperature for the machine.

Then, how to carry out high temperature protection for concrete mixers?

Firstly, the maintenance of concrete mixers should be done carefully, such as total maintenance for the mixer, replacement of “oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter” and engine oil for the engine, and renewal or adjustment of belt. The operator need to check whether the performances of air fan, water tank, generator, and compressor is reliable or not. Maintenance and replacement should be taken if necessary.

Secondly, the viscosity of engine oil should be thickened for the mixer working under high temperature. Meanwhile, the operator need to make sure cooling system and fuel system are unblocked. In case of fuel leakage, aging electric wire, plug, oil tube, and screw should be renewed, and fuel line should be fastened. To ensure the engine can dissipate heat normally without any problem, oil contamination and dust attached on the engine should be cleaned.

Thirdly, accumulator should be charged with reduced charge current timely. Electric contacts ought to be fastened and reliable. The fuse capacity must conform to safe handing requirements. It is worth attention that every concrete mixer should be equipped with one or two fire extinguishers. To prevent the mixer from exposure to the sun, it should be put at cool place as far as possible.
